I would love it if they had LTE built into their phones, and they just didn't activate it. Imagine…. it would kind of be like when they snuck the draft 802.11n into their computers and didn't tell anybody, but instead you'd have to go into your store and just activate the LTE part of the phone as needed (so you wouldn't have to pay for LTE if you didn't have it in your area….
Heck, having to go in and activate LTE would be freaking awesome in my opinion. I don't want to pay for a service i'm not even able to get!
Bah! Don't call it iPhone 4S all the time. It will be the iPhone 5 – regardless of whether it is a better iPhone 4 or a newly designed device. There was a reason for Apple's decision giving the last iPhone the number 4: simply because it was the fourth iPhone. The iPhone was a huge success and they needed a way to distinguish the models over the years because they realized there are more models to come over the years. Maybe they already realized that with the huge success of the iPhone 3G – which was the second iPhone. I believe they started to think about how they can call the next version … and the next … and the next. They could not call it iPhone 3 because nobody would have understood why the successor of the 3G is called 3. So they made this "version" of the 3G – the 3GS – and after that is would be easy to call the next model iPhone 4.
Hi, could you please stop calling it the iPhone 4S? I bet it's gonna be the iPhone 5. The iPhone 3GS moniker was necessary, since it was the 3rd iPhone and any other number would have been confusing. The current iPhone 4 though is actually number 4. The chip is the A4. Why on earth should Apple stop counting it's iPhones and – by naming it iPhone 4S – give the impression, the new iPhone is basically the old iPhone while inside we have the A5? They deliberately did not start naming the chips with number 1 because it was supposed to be named in line with the iPhone it is embedded in. Therefore: From now on no more S-iPhones.
