Overview:
Healthy Brain Development: Key Impacts & Interventions at the Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon hosted by Lane County Health & Human Services from October 22-24, 2008. This regional conference will provide cutting-edge research, prevention strategies and intervention techniques to maximize child brain development.
Description:
The goals for this conference are to: (1) present current research and prevention science on brain development of children ages zero through adolescence, and (2) provide evidence-based strategies and tools to promote healthy brain development aimed at children ages zero through adolescence and their families who are challenged by risk factors such as substance use, trauma, environment, violence and poverty.
Who should attend? Every professional who supports healthy brain development for infants and children, including: childcare providers, educators, healthcare professionals, mental health providers, social service providers, substance abuse treatment/prevention professionals.
